Power in Numbers! Resources for Caregivers...

There is power in numbers, this old adage rings true with the caregiver population. Supply and demand works! As the number of caregivers in the United States increase, so do the supportive services.

Support for the Taxed Caregiver!

As the numbers increase, we, as a collective, are paying more attention. An AARP report found family members provide a staggering $450 billion worth of unpaid care annually?a staggering number. And other research makes clear that the stress and the time involved can take a toll on the caregivers? own health and finances as they put off their own doctor visits, dip into their savings, and cut back their working hours.

Caregiver Concerns

As I read through caregiver forums and blogs, the concerned sentiments seems to parallel each other across the nation:

  • I do all the caregiving, who takes care of me?
  • Where are the resources to support our situation?
  • I feel so alone in this role.
  • How do I have the tough conversations with my loved one and our family?
  • I feel so guilty.

Many of you feel like this! Is this you??
