As a child, who didn't dream of having their very own Pokemon and setting off on a spectacular, worldwide journey, overcoming countless odds, battling numerous and varied foes, to one day become the strongest trainer of all?
With the advent of the Pokemon video game franchise, we dreamers have come as close as possible to realizing our fantasy. The drawback to this, however, is a state of monotony; we can continue to play an adventure that's already panned out, or simply start the same adventure again, nothing new, nothing changed. All the trainers are the same, and all the same Gym Leaders and members of the Elite Four remain, using the same tactics that didn't work the last time you played.
So how do we make it better?
How would you like to battle Gym Leaders with intelligence, who have worked equally as hard as you have to achieve success? How would you like to be one of these Gym Leaders, taking challenges from players all over the world, and from your friends here on RPGateway?
You can.
I'm proposing the start of a friendly, competitive Pokemon League within RPGateway, in which myself and others can battle each other for prestige amongst each other. I propose:
- Player Gym Leaders following the example of the games and anime (single-type, Leader decides Gym's rules, etc.)
- Competitive PvP battles for unique Gym Badges
- A chance to become the RPGateway Pokemon League Champion
- Fun, friendly interaction between Pokemon enthusiasts
As this is an interest check, more information will follow once I've determined there are those interested.
