Our Client, A Global FMCG company, have a brand new and exciting opportunity for a Head of Pricing Excise Tax within the Group Sales function, reporting directly to the Director of Business Performance Planning.?The successful individual will lead the pricing and excise centre of excellence, ensuring the companies overall pricing and excise capabilities are continuously developed and embedded around the business in order to support the delivery of their targets.

?Developing the central price strategy and supporting the local regional /market price strategies aligned to their best practice toolboxes and market footprint strategy, as well as ensuring robust pricing KPIs are developed and embedded to enable accurate and clear understanding of overall pricing being leveraged in our business plans and excise capability development roll out programs.

Key Responsibilities:

?

  • Roll-out of Sales Growth Driver Pricing and Excise management into sales regions/markets
  • Ensure continuous development of SGD methodologies, processes and tools through internal and external benchmarking
  • Work with sales regions and markets to ensure that adequate capabilities with regard to pricing, excise tax and trade margins are set up within the GS organisation
  • Disseminate use of best in class pricing analysis tools and methodologies and ensure new applications of best practice price/excise analyses are shared with all key market experts
  • Work with sales regions and markets to ensure existence of adequate capabilities with regard to pricing, excise tax and trade margins
  • Deliver pan market price modelling to inform a company wide price plan
  • Review and refine market pricing proposals that meet the agreed profit impact escalation criteria
  • Support markets and regions as required with pricing and excise modelling, strategy and decision making
  • Provide markets and regions with best practices excise tax planning, argumentation and lobbying support
  • Set up of global network of Pricing/Excise Tax/Trade Margin experts
  • Ensure understanding (and processes) in place to deliver continuous two-way communication between markets, regions and group on any price and excise changes in markets
  • Present to senior forums of the group on projects and tasks
  • Track achievement of agreed pricing, excise tax and trade margin initiatives

??Candidate Key Requirements:?

  • Substantial experience in a significant commercial /analytical / pricing development role at management level
  • Specific knowledge and experience of price management and pricing strategy in FMCG environment
  • Sound understanding of excise environment and the implications of on our commercial objectives
  • Excellent communicator able to synthesise and communicate information from a wide variety of sources
  • Strong change management capability and ability to influence a senior stakeholders across the whole of the company and key external contacts
  • Excellent organisational and cross-cultural awareness
  • Deep understanding of FMCG?s and competitor strategies and industry regulations
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and motivational skills and a capability to positively impact the wider department outcomes and overall company stakeholder group
