Travel insurance is one thing that you should seriously think about when you are booking a holiday.? Even on holidays within Ireland ? as we saw in 2012 ? holiday companies can go bust leaving customers out of pocket and with no holiday.
Some travel insurance does not include cover in the event of supplier insolvency ? so make sure you check the policy before you buy.

We tried to get? 3? online quotes for a? single 1 week? trip in Europe for a group? of 6 (4 adults and 2 children aged 17 and 10).
We were looking for? insurance that included cover? for cancellation, missed departure, baggage loss,? personal belongings , insolvency as well as medical cover .
AA Insurance quoted? just ?44.97
Getcover.ie? quoted? ?75 for their premium policy ? (their cheaper policies excluded insolvency cover)
The policies? from 123.ie? specifically excluded claims where the supplier became insolvent .
